Event Details
The Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Regulation B prohibit discrimination on certain prohibited bases in any aspect of a credit transaction. Though these laws aren’t new, federal regulators continue to assert claims against auto dealers and financing companies alleging discrimination in their selling and financing practices. And the CFPB has even announced its intention to pursue discrimination claims under its UDAAP authority. Join us for a discussion of recent developments related to fair and responsible lending, including recent regulatory actions regarding “junk fees,” servicemember discrimination, and more.
