David Baker

David Baker serves as Head of Operations, Strategic Analytics & Business Optimization of Dealer Retail Services for Truist. He assumed this position in January 2022. In this role, he oversees critical support over portfolio & production analytics, management reporting, underwriting, change management, production risk governance, strategic partnerships and project management.

Dave has spent 25 years supporting the dealer retail services business, having served at Regional Acceptance Corporation (RAC) and Truist for more than 25 years. Since joining Truist in 1999, he has served in multiple areas of increasing responsibility during his career, including Controller- RAC, LOB CFO for multiple consumer business including; auto finance, credit card, specialized lending, and direct lending where he oversaw the accounting and financial reporting, forecasting and planning directly supporting Executive Leadership.

Dave holds a bachelor's and master's degree in accountancy from NC State University, and is a graduate of the BB&T Banking School at Wake Forest University.
